IPL – Intensive Pulsed Light is a technology used for various skin treatments including Permanent Hair Removal / Reduction.

It works by emitting a wavelength into the skin. In the case of hair removal, it targets pigment, the light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. It quickly turns to heat which then kills the growing cells that make the hair. We want to get the hairs when they are in the anagen stage so they are still connected to the blood supply. It is recommended to have 6-10 sessions 5-6 weeks apart to be able to target all the hairs. The darker and thicker the hair the better the results. IPL Is not recommended for white, blonde, or red hair.
